Our sustainable programs are giving the poor the power to create, use, and market clean energy. The result has been successful, scalable solutions that brighten lives and our environmental future.
Our sustainable energy programs include small-scale solar installations serving over 1,400 homes and a thriving biofuel program involving over 1,000 farmers. These solutions enable communities without access to energy infrastructure to sustainably produce their own power, keeping money local, and creating ongoing economic stability for those served.
In developing countries, many people have little or no access to electricity, and spend much of their time collecting or paying for fuel for their basic needs. According to the World Economic Forum, “Access to energy is fundamental to improving quality of life and is a key imperative for economic development.”
